Rosie Floyd is a Senior Home, Pets & Garden Product Writer for Modern Gardens, specialising in outdoor living and garden buildings.
Rosie has been with Bauer Media since 2022 and has contributed to a number of titles, including Take a Break, Yours, A Modern Kitchen and Mother & Baby. Having known from an early age that she wanted to be a writer, Rosie went on to study Journalism & Media at Coventry University where she achieved a BA with honours in 2015. Her career highlights before joining Bauer include writing content around must-visit holiday destinations and luxury hotels for a well-known UK tour operator and a Copywriter & Digital Marketer role that was all about creating content around outdoor living for family-run garden buildings manufacturer, Crane Garden Buildings.
As she spent almost three years writing for Crane Garden Buildings, Rosie has built up an extensive knowledge of garden sheds, summerhouses, garden offices and studios and knows exactly what you should look for when shopping for a good quality garden building. She also has plenty of knowledge about how to look after a garden building to make sure it stays in tip-top condition after being exposed to the elements outdoors. Since becoming a first-time homeowner a couple of years ago, she’s had a new-found appreciation for a beautiful and tidy garden and has been trying to make the most of her small patch of outdoor space ever since, with a lick of fence paint, new outdoor furniture and bedding plants.
When she’s not tapping away at her laptop, you’ll usually find Rosie cuddled up to one of her three dogs, Gina, Barney and Bella, watching the Mamma Mia films on repeat, singing along to 90s and 00s pop, or endlessly scrolling Instagram and TikTok.
